Dry rot occurs when timber has been wet for a period of time and then starts to dry out. Dry rot most commonly occurs in poorly ventilated environments which provide the perfect conditions for it to thrive.
Wet Rot is similar to Dry Rot, but it is not as invasive. Caused by excessive moisture levels within the timber, if left wet rot and outbreak will start to decay and decompose.
